WWE Superstar Randy Orton Might Never Return To Wrestling

Randy Orton

Randy Orton, a multi-time world champion and WWE superstar for decades, may never compete again. Randy Orton, a WWE superstar, may never compete again.

Since his 2002 début on the WWE’s main roster, Randy Orton has maintained a constant presence on WWE television.

Orton began his career in the same Ohio Valley Wrestling class as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Batista, and Shelton Benjamin, and has since had a WWE career worthy of the Hall of Fame.

At only 43 years old, Randy Orton has become one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history. Orton has held 14 world titles in WWE, including the WWE Championship ten times and the World Heavyweight Championship four times.

Randy has also held numerous other titles in the company and accomplished other feats, including multiple Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble victories.

Orton has also competed in the main event of WrestleMania multiple times, but he doesn’t appear to be ready to end his career.

In the most recent plotline, Orton formed an unlikely tag team with Matt Riddle as RK-Bro. The odd combination won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship twice, ultimately losing the titles to The Usos in Orton’s final televised match.

Since 2022, Orton has been absent from WWE television due to a reported back injury, which may be so grievous that he will never wrestle again.

Bob Orton Jr. confirmed to Sportskeeda that although Randy Orton has been training for a return to the ring, it may not actually occur.

Bob Orton Jr. stated during the interview that he believes Randy’s physicians have advised him not to compete again. Assuming this is true, WWE may not be able to medically clear Orton, effectively putting him on the shelf indefinitely.

Multiple wrestlers have been forced into early retirement after failing to receive approval from WWE’s medical staff. Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Paige experienced this in the past, but all three have since returned to wrestling.

Edge and Daniel Bryan have both competed in a WrestleMania main event after their initial retirements, and Paige is presently competing for rival promotion AEW as Saraya. Even if Orton is forced to take a protracted absence, there is a possibility that he could return in the future.

It would be heartbreaking for Randy Orton to be forced to depart from WWE due to a medical condition and not on his own terms, but there is no denying that he has had one of the company’s most successful careers.
