Antonia Lofaso, a well-known chef, will compete in Superchef Grudge Match, which will air on Food Network on February 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The event will be hosted by Darnell Ferguson, a well-known chef, restaurateur, and co-host of “Worst Cooks in America” and Tournament of Champions.

In Superchef Grudge Match, the 46-year-old will be joined by many other culinary industry veterans in resolving long-standing feuds between competing chefs who have personal and commercial disagreements.

The competing chefs will be able to settle their differences once and for all in a single round, burying the hatchet and determining who is the best chef of them all. The winner of the upcoming program will receive lifelong rights to brag about their victory over their opponent, a sizable monetary award, and other benefits.

The Food Network’s official summary of Lofaso’s on-air spat with competitor chef Jet Tila is as follows:

“In the season premiere, Darnell invites Chefs Antonia Lofaso and Jet Tila to settle their ‘Tournament of Champions’ feud — the two were tied in every category until Jet won a rematch in the finals by one point. Antonia wants to restore order in the universe because she has traditionally won, whereas Jet wants to keep his victory.”

Chef Antonia Lofaso, of Italian-American ancestry, is best known for her work on Season 4 of Top Chef. (2008). With her tough Italian personality, she demonstrated her culinary skills on Top Chef: All Stars (2010) and Top Chef Duels (2011). (2014).

In addition to her restaurant and television experience, she works as a private chef for some of Hollywood’s most famous people, which broadens her skill set.

In 2012, Lofaso collaborated with Penguin to publish The Busy Mom’s Cookbook: 100 Recipes for Quick, Delicious, Home-cooked Meals, which also detailed the difficulties she faced while attending the prestigious French Culinary Institute and caring for her child.

She has appeared as a judge on CNBC’s Restaurant Startup and has had recurring roles on The Food Network’s Man v. Child, Real O’Neals, Grocery Games, Supermarket Stakeout, Chopped, and Cutthroat Kitchen, among others.

Lofaso was married to Jamaican-born rapper Heavy D, with whom he had a daughter named Xea Myers in 2000. When Heavy D died of a pulmonary embolism, the 46-year-old and her lone child relied on one another throughout their terrible bereavement (real name Dwight Arrington Myer).

Lofaso described the rapper’s death as a “whirlwind,” and the chef had previously expressed her grief. She now lives in Los Angeles with her 22-year-old daughter. Lofaso has recently transitioned from a television celebrity to a business owner. She is the executive chef and owner of Black Market in Studio City, California, which she co-founded with Mario Guddemi and Sal Aurora in 2011.
