What Is Jaheim Doing Now?

Jaheim

Jaheim gained notoriety as a musician by becoming known as the “thug of R&B” because of his garb. Jaheim had more of a gangster rapper’s appearance than an R&B singer, but as he entered the booth, he began to sing with a smooth voice akin to Luther Vandross’s.

Jaheim’s first three albums all have the word “Ghetto” in their titles, reflecting the prominence of his ghetto upbringing in his music. His third album, Ghetto Love, arrived at the top of the Billboard 200. Contrarily, Jaheim’s most recent album, Suffering Love, was a commercial failure because fans had grown weary of his constant “struggle” narrative.

How did Jaheim start his Professional Career?

Jaheim keeps to himself while planning a comeback to the music industry. Struggle Love failed to live up to his great expectations. It debuted on the Billboard 200 list at position 24.

The message in the songs, not Jaheim’s vocals, was the main reason for the failure. Fans had grown weary of Jaheim’s songs about hustlers and paternity issues after seven albums.

Jaheim then made himself a target of mockery by sporting a new haircut. The artist didn’t take Charlamagne Tha God’s designation as “Donkey of the Day” well.

He made an effort to respond, but his arguments received insufficient applause. If Charlamagne’s criticism had been made when Jaheim was at the height of his fame, he probably would have gotten more support.

Unfortunately, Jaheim’s first success didn’t generate enough money. Jaheim said to All Hip Hop that the albums he released brought in “essentially nothing.”

To have more control over his music, he founded Julie’s Dream Music Group as his record label in 2014. He told Page Six in 2017 that he was content with the authority his label had given him. Jaheim stated, “I love the business; I simply don’t like some people in the business.

Jaheim hasn’t lost his love for music, but he has stepped aside as he plans his comeback. Before saying “I am changing a few things, then we shall meet again” on Instagram, he made an appearance on Angie Stone’s 2019 album Full Circle.

We can’t say for sure if Jaheim will release new songs, but we can’t rule it out either. He hasn’t formally retired yet, and he still has musical talent. Jaheim has begged Usher for a fight since she is accused of animal abuse.

Jaheim was accused of animal abuse in September 2021 after authorities discovered malnourished dogs on his premises. One of the dogs had to be put to sleep because of its poor condition. Officers discovered nine dogs inside the house, in addition to six dogs in kennels on the driveway.

Prosecutors claimed that one of the dogs found “was initially unresponsive in a water-filled kennel and had to be euthanized.” Separate containers containing additional dogs were discovered to be partially filled with several inches of water and dog waste.

Up until the arrival of animal control, police fed and cared for the dogs. Jaheim was subsequently taken into custody on two municipal court warrants and an unconnected warrant for probation violation.

Jaheim wants a VERZUZ fight with Usher as he waits for the results of his cases. He wants to fight Usher by the middle of February 2022, albeit it’s unclear where the notion came from. Jaheim presented his challenge on Instagram, saying:

“Let’s finally put this to rest. Someone organized it! Let’s clear the board of all the pawns! If you’re worried, I’ll just declare checkmate, but king move! @usher has one month to respond. No offense intended, but he’s among the greatest. RESPECTIVELY.”

Jaheim urged viewers to hype the fight in the comments. He wrote,

THE FANS CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY.” Usher’s potential response to Jaheim’s challenge is uncertain.

He has received jeers for supposedly driving for Uber and endorsing Trump. Jaheim has endured a lot of online mockery in recent years. Jaheim unveiled a new appearance on Instagram in 2018 that made him appear smaller than before.

Fans believed that drinking and using drugs had something to do with weight loss, but Jaheim refuted this. Instead, he attributed his metamorphosis to a vegetarian diet.

Then he demonstrated an odd recipe that included full banana peels as an ingredient. An Instagram user claimed that Jaheim had driven him on an Uber ride in Atlanta, according to Sandra Rose.

Jaheim allegedly said to the user that he was driving till he had enough money to return home because he had run out of money while visiting a cousin in Atlanta. According to reports, the singer needed to drive to get by while waiting to return to the studio.

Naughty by Nature rapper Vin Rock quickly refuted the notion.

Rock informed Heavy that the report was untrue. He is quite gifted and a native of Jersey. Jaheim’s brand is so well-known that, if he wanted to, he could earn $5,000 per performance. He could easily make $15,000 a week at home.

At the St. Louis music festival in June 2019, where he was scheduled to appear, Jaheim had the chance to disprove his detractors. Jaheim, however, skipped three consecutive nights without giving a reason.

All of the aforementioned caused him to be mocked and criticized on social media, but nothing compared to the vitriol he received for endorsing Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. He criticized Democrats for propagating false information while praising Trump for “saving a lot of people.” He wrote a long caption, part of which read:

“I simply want to apologize to @realdonaldtrump for all the false information that has been spread about him since taking office. We, the people, have abandoned this noble guy who has been working tirelessly to restore the Republic’s balance while not even accepting payment.

He received criticism online for his remarks, but it didn’t stop him from publicly endorsing Trump once more. Jaheim criticized Democratic Party supporters in a passionate Instagram post as it became evident that Trump would lose. He cautioned as he concluded his post:

“My grandmother once said that you never realize what you have until it’s gone. Well, you all made your beds, so go ahead and lie in them. America is filled with vile pride. We’ll soon come to understand when it’s too late to cry. You fuck up your chance to be much greater if you laugh now and cry afterward.
