What Is Hulk Hogan Doing In 2022?

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan, is a retired professional wrestler who was the face of the sport during its heyday in the 1980s. With his recognizable horseshoe beard, Hogan dominated the 1980s, appearing as the main attraction at eight of the nine WrestleMania events. In 1990 and 1991, Hulk became the first wrestler to win two straight Royal Rumble contests.

Before the WWE acquired WCW in 2001, Hogan left for the WCW in 1993 and won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times. After leaving the WWE in 2003, Hulk was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame two years later.

Hogan has hinted about making one final appearance in the ring, but it seems improbable.

What Is Hulk Hogan Doing In 2022?

In recent years, we have witnessed retired WWE legends make one more appearance in the ring before calling it quits. One such instance is The Undertaker. Additionally, Hulk Hogan has hinted about making one last appearance in the ring.

He revealed to the Los Angeles Times in October 2019 that he has spoken with WWE chairman Vince McMahon about making a special appearance in the ring. The newspaper quoted Hogan as saying,

“I told Vince, ‘When I get through this back surgery, I’m going to get in the best shape of my life and we’re going to talk about having one last retirement match.'”

According to rumors, Hulk would compete in WrestleMania 36, which he was originally going to host before the coronavirus outbreak caused the WWE to reschedule. On the After The Bell podcast, Hogan admitted that he was devastated to learn that he couldn’t serve as the event’s presenter. The Hulk stated, “Gronk did a terrific job, but I could feel a hole in my heart as I watched it.”

On March 31, 2021, Hogan once more hinted at a return to the ring via a tweet.

He said in the caption of a picture taken during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, “When the crew noticed I had the new title belt with me yesterday everyone got hyped for one more run.” The Hulk hinted that he might make an appearance in the ring at WrestleMania 37 during his interview on After The Bell.

We might have a third title bout, I just might come out as Hollywood with one of my new titles here, he remarked. The victors of the first two title battles will face me in a three-way showdown.

WrestleMania 37, which Hogan hosted, passed without a Hogan-hosted match, though. Although he wants to, Hogan is not likely to engage in combat once more.

He hasn’t fought in almost ten years, and the various back operations he’s undergone have limited his range of motion. Hogan stated on After The Bell that “the wrestling profession has always been in my blood.”

Although he’ll probably continue to be a mainstay in the WWE, his days as a wrestler are most likely done. If he wins his final fight, he said to the Los Angeles Times, he would prefer to fight a known foe:

“I’d like it to be Vince. At WrestleMania 19, I had a blast in the ring with him. He’s a fantastic horrible guy, but I didn’t know what to anticipate from him. He always hits the mark. Although I like grappling with him, everything he does hurts. Even though everything he does hurts, I still want to face him in my final match. Perfect would be that.

Hulk seemed to have moved past his health issues. Ric Flair, a close friend of Hulk’s, discussed Hogan’s health issues on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast in late 2021. Ric stated:

“Despite his severe health challenges, he keeps up with me. In both good and bad times, we help one another. He came to visit me the day I was in the hospital, just like everyone else did. The Hulk was kind.”

Although Hulk’s health problems weren’t mentioned by Flair, his daughter Brooke did mention Hogan’s difficulties with surgery. Hogan had 25 surgeries in ten years, according to Brooke, who made the revelation during an appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast.

They comprised operations on the elbow, knee, hip, bicep, and shoulder. Fortunately, Brooke suggested that the most recent operation might have resolved Hulk’s issues:

He has undergone numerous operations, so he has accomplished a great deal, but the most recent one was the cherry on top. So he’s feeling terrific right now. He spends two hours each day in the gym exercising. He’s still moving forward.

The Hulk’s main goal is to gain more customers for his store, Hogan’s Beach Shop. Hogan’s Beach Shop, where Hulk Hogan sells merchandise, is the subject of the majority of his Instagram photos.

As to be expected, the merchandise in the shop somehow relates to wrestling or Hulk Hogan’s illustrious career. He shared a picture on Instagram on January 23, 2021, along with a message honoring the influence of wrestling on Hulk’s life. The heading stated:

“On January 23, 1984, I was traveling from Stanford, Connecticut, to New York City. Little did I realize that night would revolutionize the wrestling industry forever! HULKAMANIA WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST!!!!!

Hulk acknowledged to being racist in a leaked sex tape, and as a result, was briefly kicked out of the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Hulk’s world fell apart in July 2015 when a video showing him hurling racial epithets emerged. While speaking with Heather Clem, Hulk criticized his daughter Brooke for having an affair with a black man. The former wrestler claimed, “She is making some awful judgments right now.

He complained about a “black millionaire guy” who had proposed to support Brooke’s musical endeavors.

The Hulk remarked,

“I don’t know if Brooke was fucking the black guy’s son.”

“I don’t have any double standards. I mean, fucking niggers, I am a racist to a certain extent. Mean, I’d rather have her marry an 8-f00t nigger worth a hundred million dollars if she was going to fuck some nigger!

Hulk concluded his surprising rant by saying, “I think we’re all a little racist.” The WWE quickly severed its relationship with Hulk Hogan. Hulk’s connections to WWE ventures came to a stop, and he was kicked out of the Hall of Fame in addition to having every trace of him deleted from its website. Hogan wrote a statement to People apologizing:

“I used derogatory language in a conversation eight years ago. There is no justification for my foul language use, which was inappropriate. Apologize for my actions. I’m not like this. I firmly believe that no one should be treated differently because of their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or anything else.

Hulk said,

“I am disappointed in myself because I used insensitive language and was at odds with my views.”

Although Hulk was re-inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and reestablished his relationship with the legendary professional wrestler, several WWE stars and fans felt that his apology was insufficient. It’s presumably why there was some opposition to having him host WrestleMania 37.
