According to rumors, Ziva will appear in the upcoming NCIS: Hawaii episode. In September 2021, the television series debuted. Cote de Pablo isn’t a member of the cast’s official main or recurring cast, but we can’t rule out the possibility that she will appear at some point in the series.

In December 2020, NCIS executive producer Steve Binder stated on TVLine:

“Let’s not take Cote and stick her in is usually the refrain. First, let’s think up a plot to evaluate if it would be worthwhile to bring that character back. We have no current plans because we have effectively used all of the cards available to us [with Ziva]. However, we are undoubtedly receptive.

Pablo’s reasons for leaving NCIS are still unknown. She informed TV Guide that Pablo’s initial departure from NCIS was not preplanned. Cote De left on her terms, but she didn’t like how she went out.

She cited “political considerations” as the cause of her departure in 2016. She continued, expressing disapproval of the show’s plans for Ziva.

“I didn’t believe it was fair,” de Pablo added. “They were going to send [Ziva] back to Israel to make her a sad, wretched woman.”

The following de Pablo statement regarding her 2013 departure raises the possibility that there is more to the tale than she or the NCIS hierarchy have disclosed. She uttered:

“I’m not yet ready to discuss that. I will eventually. However, I didn’t go because I wanted to, was prepared to, or was tired. I didn’t have a choice.

Cote consented to a brief return to NCIS, whatever the cause of her absence. Returning ‘was like just slipping back into a comfortable slipper,’ she remarked. She struggled to adjust to the fight scenes, though.

Cote admitted to BUILD Series that while she had no trouble with the character or emotional parts, she struggled more with the action sequences. She uttered:

“We finished it, you know. And because of the magic of TV, you may glean bits and pieces here and there. However, they are difficult. How am I going to hide this from everyone here, a part of me wondered. I’m simply like gazing down and saying, “Don’t worry.” Avoid a panic attack. You’ll overcome it. It was challenging.

De Pablo’s leaving after her second comeback was more joyful than her initial leave. Cote remarked,

“I’ll leave it at that. It’s a different walk away.”

It’s a lovely stroll away. Although Cote has nothing against social media, she doesn’t think it fits with her life.

Cote de Pablo doesn’t use social media, which is one of the main reasons why we don’t know much about her life. De Pablo admitted to BUILD Series that when she is having fun, the idea of taking pictures doesn’t occur to her.

She claimed,

“I’m simply having fun and I’m too busy having fun to truly have had a moment.”

She likes how individuals express themselves creatively and advocate on social media. Cote isn’t completely opposed to the concept of using social media, but it would need to be a professional account rather than a personal one. She clarified:

“Since I’m a very private person, I guess I’m negotiating with myself. You enjoy doing such things, so it can be challenging to stop yourself in the middle of one of them and remember to take notes.”
