The day that caused table tennis players the most pain was April 17, when teenage TT player Vishwa Deenadayalan was killed in a car accident. He intended to finish at Shillong Squad. He was taking a taxi from Shillong to Guwahati. Vishwa Deenadayalan was seated in the automobile alongside three of his teammates: Kishore Kumar, Abinash Prasannaji Srinivasan, and Ramesh Santosh Kumar. The three other colleagues are all dealing with serious wounds, but Vishwa was killed in an accident.

“Vishwa Deenadayalan automobile struck with an A12 wheel trailer which came from the opposite direction over the road divider and then hit the cab at Shangbangla after the ‘Umily Check Post,” reads a statement issued by the Table Tennis Federation of India.

The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences has confirmed Vishwa’s death, along with the death of a taxi driver.

After learning about Vishwa’s passing, the chief minister of Meghalaya and even Prime Minister Modi sent their condolences. Dushyant Chautala, the deputy chief minister of Haryana, offered a 5 lakh INR settlement for the Vishwa family.

How did Vishwa Deenadayalan start his Professional Career?

In his professional life, Vishwas had great success while speaking for his TT organization.

He classified himself as one of India’s top U-19 table tennis players. He achieved success as a table tennis player by winning the gold medal at the Serbia Open in 2018.

His ranking as the U-19 Boys Title Champion at the National Ranking Tournament in Dehradun in 2022 is very impressive.

Vishwa Deenadayalan has earned numerous accolades at sub-junior levels of championships as he moves toward a prosperous career. With his mixed double partner Miss Selena Deepthi, Vishwa Deenadayalan competed in the pre-quarterfinals at Hyderabad National earlier this year.

On April 17, 2022, he was on his way to Shilong to compete in the 83rd Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championship when he passed away.

After overcoming Malesh Kumar in the selection rounds, he was chosen to compete in this challenging event. His goal was to be listed among the top 100 TT players worldwide.
