Vicki Connolly, the second wife of convicted killer Drew Peterson

Drew Peterson

Former Bolingbrook, Illinois, police sergeant Drew Peterson was apprehended that same year. Ultimately, Kathleen Savio, his third wife, was found guilty of murdering their son.

She was found dead in her tub a few months after finalizing her divorce from Peterson. Her untimely passing was ruled a tragic accident at the time, caused by drowning. Since Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Ann Cales, vanished in 2007, the investigation into Savio’s disappearance has been renewed.

Peterson was found guilty of her murder in September 2012 and given a 38-year jail term. He was convicted of planning to kill his prosecutor and given an additional 40 years in prison.

However, Cales’s remains were never located. In the January 19, 2021 episode of Dateline titled “Infamous,” journalist Natalie Morales visits Peterson in prison and speaks with Cales’ sister.

Carol Brown, Drew Peterson’s first ex-wife, received alimony

According to Investigation Discovery, Drew Peterson’s high school sweetheart was named Carol Brown. After getting hitched in 1974, the Petersons produced two sons: Stephen Paul Peterson and Eric Drew Peterson.

In 1980, once Brown discovered her husband’s extramarital affair, she filed for divorce. Vicki Connolly, Peterson’s second ex-wife, claimed he threatened to kill her.

Peterson married Vicki Connolly for the second time, and she was a valuable asset to his life. From 1982 till 1992, they were happily married. ABC 7 reports that in 2010, Connolly testified in the murder prosecution of Scott Peterson for the death of Savio.

Connolly stated that he had threatened her with a gun on at least three separate occasions throughout their almost decade-long marriage. During one of their arguments, “he pushed me against the garage wall and grabbed my throat,” she said.

“He threatened to kill me and cover it up by saying it was an accident,” she continued.

Additionally, Connolly’s daughter Lisa Wаrd testified that throughout her mother’s marriage to In Peterson, she was exposed to 10 years of physical and mental abuse at the hands of Peterson.

When Connolly learned that he was having an affair with his third wife, Kathleen Savio, he filed for divorce. For killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, Drew Peterson received a sentence of 38 years in prison.

After divorcing Connolly in 1992, Drew Peterson quickly remarried Kathleen Sаvio. Thomas Peterson and Kristopher Peterson were their two sons.

According to Investigation Discovery, the police were summoned to the couple’s home 18 times throughout their 11-year relationship due to domestic disputes. They officially ended their marriage in 2003.

Avio’s body was found in the tub a few months later. Peterson’s death was ruled an accident by a coroner’s panel that included a friend of hers.

This verdict stayed in place until Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Ann Cales, disappeared in 2007. The remains of Sаvio were dug up and reexamined. Her entire body was covered in bruises and wounds.

In addition, a huge bandage covered a stаb wound on her head. The coroner ruled her death a homicide this time, saying she was submerged in water during a struggle before she drowned.

Peterson was found guilty of murdering Sаvio in 2012 and given a 38-year sentence. Stacy Ann Cales, Drew Peterson’s fourth wife, vanished without a trace. Peterson wed a teenage girl named Stacy Ann Cales in 2003.

Anthony and Lacy Peterson were her children with him. Likewise, Cales took in Drew’s biological children from a prior relationship. In October of 2007, she mysteriously vanished.

Peterson claims that she had phoned him and informed him that she was leaving with another man. As of the present, the investigation has not been concluded. Peterson is a top candidate for a suspect. Dateline airs on NBC at 9 p.m. Eastern Time every Friday.
