Toby Keith Has Announced A Diagnosis Of Stomach Cancer

Toby Keith

Toby Keith, an American country musician, stated last fall that he has been undergoing treatment for stomach cancer for the past six months. On June 12, the 60-year-old artist released a post on Twitter informing his followers of the news.

Last fall, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Six months ago, I underwent chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. Thus far, everything has gone well. “I need some time to breathe, recuperate, and relax.”

In spite of his illness, the I Love This Bar singer continued to play live. Keith performed at the Heroes Honor Festival on Memorial Day weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida, and sold out the San Antonio Rodeo in February 2022.

Additionally, he attended the 2022 Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic in May, which collected over $1.38 million for charity. However, after six months of counseling and medication, the singer is ready for a break, but he plans to return to the stage as soon as possible.

I am looking forward to spending time with my family. But I will meet the supporters as soon as possible. “I can scarcely wait.”

Two upcoming performances were slated for Keith, including one at the Ohio State Fair on July 28. According to event organizers, Keith’s next performances have been canceled, and ticket purchasers are eligible for refunds.

Mid-July to late August, Keith was scheduled to perform at a few additional concerts this summer.

Willie Nelson and Toby Keith have already admitted to using marijuana together.

Outsider reports that Toby Keith openly smoked marijuana with Willie Nelson after a Las Vegas concert.

According to a magazine interview, the singer stated:

“Willie was on the court at 8:00 p.m. I’m going to see Willie. I join him in singing a couple of tunes. And just as I’m ready to go, he cries from the stage, “Stay a while after the show, I want to chat with you!”

When Willie gave Keith some marijuana, Keith waited for Nelson’s performance to conclude before joining him in his tour van.

I have never been a heavy marijuana user. It’s not my high. I was unable to operate after we burned one. It was the strongest marijuana I’ve ever smoked. And I struck it no more than three or four times.”

Toby Keith stated that he was “very high” when he left Willie Nelson’s tour bus and was asleep by 11:30 p.m. on his one night off in Las Vegas. Keith reported that he told his friend Scott Emerick, who also got a little too high with Nelson, about the incident. Wacky Tobaccy, a song about the subject, was composed by the two.

Toby Keith established the Toby Keith Foundation in 2006 to aid Oklahoma children with cancer. The OK Kids Korral, which provides free housing to pediatric cancer patients and their families during treatment at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, which is close to Keith’s birthplace, was constructed in 2014. In 1984, Keith wed Tricia Lucus, and they had two children. Their children are Shelley Covel Rowland, Krystal Keith, and Stelen Keith Covel.
