Tish Melton was born in February 2006. She was given the name Doyle by her ex-husband and the former’s mother.
The now 16-year-old has Hispanic ancestry through her father, Craig Melton, a sales representative for Prevail and a former soccer player. On July 4, 2001, Tish’s father encountered her Burke, Virginia-native mother, Glennon, at a daylong bar crawl in Washington, DC.
On their first night together, they shared a bed and started “constantly drinking and drugging.” Glennon soon after discovered she was pregnant, but she decided to abort the child.
Tish’s mother found out she was pregnant again a few months later. She decided to have it this time, and then she married Craig.
Following their courtship, they got married and had three kids, one of them was Tish. However, Melton and the Untamed author would divorce in the middle of 2016 as a result of Doyle’s coming out.
Following that, in February 2016, Glennon began dating Abby Wambach, a famous soccer player, Olympian, activist, and author. They tied the knot in May 2017.

Tish, the daughter of Glennon and Craig, is an eminently gifted little singer, and she and her entire family attribute their musical prowess to Taylor Swift, a multiple Grammy Award winner.
Her novelist mother sent a message to Instagram in December 2020 describing how Swift encouraged her daughter Tish to pursue a career in music. Doyle and Wambach both related the tale of how Taylor inspired their daughter Tish to develop a passion for music.
On December 16, 2020, the author, 45, wrote a lengthy Instagram post about the entire incident. Glennon emphasized to her fans that even though her teenage daughter wasn’t always aware of it, she “always knew Tish was an artist” in this regard.
She also described how Tish used to listen to Taylor’s songs in private every night before bed in her blog post. Doyle claimed that shortly after, Tish began to sing as well.
After some time, Craig and Glennon began using Abby’s guitar to perform. The author, who was born in Burke, also claimed that Tish searched that chord-filled instrument for Taylor.
The adolescent reportedly continued to practice daily at night while seated on the side of her bed with music sheets laid out in front of her, her hair pushed back, and a guitar on her lap. all the while teasing Taylor. She soon began taking guitar lessons and was never without a Taylor tune in her possession.
After hearing her writer-mother describe how surprised she was by how “wonderful” her song was, she quickly wrote her own. Glennon thanked the Trouble singer after her December 2020 post.

When Doyle’s current partner attempted to contact the Style singer via Instagram and mentioned Tish’s affection for her, things got interesting. When Taylor personally thanked Abby and Glennon for Tish’s musical endeavors, the gratitude quickly became headlines.
Abby had initially written, using her own Ig username,
“I have to send a special happy bday to the creator of our families soundtracks of 2020 @taylorswift13. Our daughter Tish asked me today to tweet you a happy bday. You have awakened an artist inside her and there is no greater gift you can give our family. Thank you!”
The eight-time Billboard Hot 100 number-one single performer responded by saying,
“Just saw this and GRINNED!! Tell Tish hi and thanks for remembering my birthday!! You, my friend, are a champion in every way. And Glennon’s writing has been a huge help to me this year, what a luminary she is.”
It’s important to note that after the United States Women’s National Team won the World Cup in 2015, the Pennsylvania-born musician asked Abby and her soccer friends to join her onstage for the 1989 Tour.
The response was also read out by Tish for the first time on Glennon’s video, which subsequently demonstrates how astonished her daughter was to see it. Tish can also be seen singing Taylor’s songs in the video.
Tish Melton started a petition about body positivity when she was ten
When Tish was just 10 years old, she initially attracted the attention of the media and even started to appear in the headlines.
Craig and Glennon’s second kid published a petition in May 2016 asking magazine editors to honor women of all shapes, sizes, and colors. She did this after being open with her mother about the demands society places on women to live up to its standards of beauty.

In a later blog post, Glennon described how her daughter came up with the idea for the petition. She said her daughter was inspired to write it after asking her mother why she was different from the other girls, who are “all slim,” in a chat.
Glennon discussed the conversation she had with her daughter while also revealing her own experience with bulimia and addiction, which she began to notice when she was 10 years old. Doyle continued, “I was finally able to talk about the body image issue with my daughter for hours after talking to her ex-husband, Craig.”
Additionally, they discussed how society tells girls to “belittle and quiet as a strategy to keep them from being leaders.”
What followed was?
The day after their discussion on body image, Tish and her mother would leave a bookshop. The two came to a stop in front of a magazine rack and looked at the covers of seven different magazines.
Tish noticed that the women on all the covers were “blonde” and “emaciated.” Shortly after, Doyle and her daughter had another open discussion during which Glennon asked Tish if she believed that women’s bodies were for selling things, to which her little daughter responded, “No.”
The Carry On Warrior author also assured her kid that she was okay and that everything in the mags was a lie. After they got home, Tish showed her mother the handwritten petition that their entire family had signed an hour later.
Glennon immediately posted the petition online and also on Facebook, where it was shared by thousands of people.
