The Truth About King Von Parents And His Kids

King Von

King Von (full name: Dayvon Daquan Bennett) rose to stardom as a result of the success of his Crazy Story track in December 2018. After signing with Lil Durk’s label, Only the Family, he released the single. Von released Crazy Story 2.0 in May 2019, and Crazy Story Pt. 3—the third version of the song—in September 2019.

A week later, Von released Grandson, Vol. 1, his debut mixtape. The album debuted at position 27 on the Hip Hop albums list and position 75 on the Billboard 200. King Von kept releasing music that became popular in 2020, but his tragic death on November 6, 2020, ended his promising career. The bullet wound Von sustained during the shootout outside an Atlanta nightclub caused his death.

Where was King Von born? Ethnicity, Nationality, Family, Education

King Von was born to Taesha and Walter E. Bennett on August 9, 1994. Four half-siblings, Kayla B, Yung Bogo, Sky, and Louie V, shared his upbringing. He spent a lot of time in jail, thus Taesha largely raised Von by herself. Walter and she frequently clashed since he wasn’t there to support the family.

Walter was supposedly a legend in his birthplace and was known as Silk on the streets. When Von was 11 years old, he passed away. Walter allegedly perished from gunshot wounds caused by a sniper from a rival gang, according to King Von’s uncle.

Walter had a significant influence on his son’s life despite coming and going from Von’s life. Since they first met when Von was eight years old, he only had a three-year relationship with his father.

In the song Exposing Me, King Von mentions Walter, saying, “Rest in peace to Silk from Ada Park, that was the older me.” Additionally, he made him the subject of an Instagram photo with the following caption:

“Men, this is the epitome of #Real,” said the speaker. He taught me a lot about street smarts, picking your friends carefully, and most importantly, #Loyalty. The myth that King Von was related to illustrious gang leader David Barksdale is probably untrue

King Von had the moniker Grandson because he was said to be related to David Barksdale, the man who founded the Black Disciples. Along with his 12 siblings, David, sometimes known as King Dave, was raised in Sallis, Mississippi. In 1957, he relocated to Chicago and started the Devil’s Disciples gang. The Devil’s Disciples had changed into the Black Gangster Disciples at the time of his demise.

The group broke up into many gangs, among them the Black Disciples. King Von reportedly belonged to the gang. In an interview with 16ShotEM Visualz in October 2018, Von joked that he got the nickname Grandson because he is related to David Barksdale. Added him:

“I was given the nickname Grandson while I was incarcerated because I was compared to King David. Because of the way I handled myself, the older inmates who were there when David was would refer to me as him. King David was a mythical figure who was revered by all. He lived by his values and code when he was out on the streets, and I do too. That’s why many refer to me as their grandson.

Von’s answer makes it improbable that he was related to David Barksdale by blood.
