What Exactly Did Susan Peirez Do?

In February 2018, a video of Peirez screaming at a woman and her 8-month-old infant went viral, and he threatened to fire a flight attendant.

Susan was taken from the airplane that was ready to depart from JFK Airport in New York following her tantrum.

Marissa Rundell, then 19, was on the trip to Syracuse, New York, with her son Mason, which irritated Peirez. Rundell stated that she was the final person to enter the plane and that she immediately began to protest, stating, “this is b***shit.” “Having to take a seat in the back of the plane.”

She began filming Susan after she started causing a commotion.

Peirez also stated working for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in the video.

Ms. Rundell stated that she began kicking off as soon as she boarded the plane and afterwards began swearing. The young mother then urged her not to do so around her baby, but Peirez refused. Susan, on the other hand, instructed her “to shut the f*** up and shove it.”

In addition, she verbally abused a member of the cabin crew who interfered.

Despite her apology, the flight crew removed her.

When the flight attendant, Tabitha, arrived, Peirez sought a replacement seat, but the attendant replied she could only provide her one on the next trip.

Peirez then threatened Tabitha, saying, “she might not have her job,” noting that she worked for a governor.

Despite her apology, security pulled Susan from the airplane. The incident occurred on February 6, 2018.

What does Delta Airlines think of Susan Peirez?

Delta, in a statement defending its flight attendant, stated that the airline has always required civility and respect from its passengers when traveling. They determined that Peirez’s actions toward a fellow passenger on a trip from New York to Syracuse did not meet those requirements. Delta also expressed gratitude for the flight attendant’s initiative.

Susan, did you lose your job?

Rundell broadcast the entire incident on the internet. She also wrote while doing so,

“I’d want to thank the nice Delta flight attendant for not allowing this woman to abuse us. Karma stinks,”

In the two weeks since it was posted, the video has received over 1.7 million views.

As a result, Peirez was fired from her position with New York State’s Arts Council.

According to Ronni Reich, head of public communications for the Council where Peirez worked, her agency learned about the issue and has requested an investigation. She also told everyone about Susan’s suspension.

WGRZ reported at the time that Peirez earned around $95,000 per year for her service on the council.

Despite the incident, Rundell, the baby’s mother, later stated that she did not want Ms. Peirez to lose her job. She then said to Good Morning America that she began taping primarily because she believed her acting was amusing.

Rundell stated that she did not deserve to be fired. She later deleted the video from her Facebook page.

“I feel sorry for this person. “I’m not familiar with her story, and she’s not familiar with mine.”
