Sting Visits Bedford Park Concerts With The My Songs International Tour

Sting

The Bedford Park Concerts series will feature rock legend Sting next summer. On June 24, the My Songs world tour, including the 17-time Grammy Award winner and former lead singer of The Police, will stop at the park on Kimbolton Road in Bedford.

Songs from both The Police and his solo career will be performed during the evening. On June 30, George Ezra will also take the stage during the concert series.

Gordon Sumner, better known by his stage name Sting, was born and raised in Wallsend, North Tyneside. Before going solo, he was the frontman, bassist, and principal songwriter for The Police between the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Every Breath You Take, the band’s song that won song of the year at the 1984 Grammy Awards, brought them recognition on a global scale. He has sold more than 100 million records over the course of a career spanning close to 50 years.

His My Songs tour’s six-night stint at the London Palladium earlier this year was his only confirmed UK appearance for the year. Hit songs including Roxanne, Fields of Gold, Shape of my Heart, and Demolition Man are part of the collection.

The songs Englishman in New York, Every Breath You Take, Roxanne, and Message in a Bottle will also be played for the fans.
