In an interview with Variety, Steve Burns revealed how it became impossible to remain cheerful. All of this took its toll on him because his job needed him to always appear joyful.

He also stated that it took a long time to recuperate after he quit his program. Steve Burns, speaking on the matter, admitted that he had no notion he was the “happiest depressed person in North America.” During his time on the program, he also claimed to have suffered from severe clinical depression.

Blue’s Clues was a popular show among children, and Steve starred in it for six seasons before retiring and leaving the show. He could have made a fortune from his participation in the program.
