Stephen Hawking And Nurse Diana King | Cheating Spouses

Stephen Hawking

The general public has been enthralled by Stephen Hawking’s extraordinary skill as a cosmologist and theoretical physicist and his decades-long struggle with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

The late scientist’s love life was rather convoluted even though he was confined to a wheelchair and could not communicate for most of his life.

Stephen Hawking and Nurse Diana King: Cheating Spouses?

According to a copy of the book DailyMail received before it was released, Leonard Mlodinow, a theoretical physicist, and the late scientist’s close friend, provided insight into the late scientist’s love life and marriage in his book.

On September 8, 2020, the book Stephen Hawking: A Memoir of Friendship and Physics was released.

From 1995 through 2006, Stephen Hawking and Elaine Mason were wed. The narrative of the former marriage is turbulent from beginning to conclusion.

Their divorce’s cause was kept a secret. People, however, conjectured that the couple’s breakup was caused by the physicist’s reported adultery and violence.

Leonard said in his book that the couple split up because Hawking fell in love with Diana King, a different nurse. Diana had manic depression and was 39 years the scientist’s junior.

Later, the scientist’s companion wondered whether he was attracted to problematic women. Although Stephen and Diana King were engaged, they never wed.

Timeline of Stephen Hawking and Elaine Mason’s Relationship

The late scientist underwent a tracheotomy in the 1980s. Elaine Mason and a few other nurses joined the cosmologist’s treatment or care team to provide him with round-the-clock assistance.

Elaine previously served as a nurse at a Bangladeshi orphanage. She had two children she shared with David Mason when she joined the caregiving team.

After the tracheostomy, the scientist lost his capacity to talk, so David Mason worked on the voice synthesizer for him.

Elaine was characterized by Leonard Mlodinow as a fiery redhead who enjoyed skateboarding and understood how to flirt. Other caretakers were astonished and worried by the nurse’s care and protection of the deceased scientist.

After dating for five years, Elaine and Stephen fell in love and got married in September 1995. There were several allegations of the nurse assaulting the scientist throughout their marriage.

Police, however, never discovered any proof. Elaine, the late cosmologist’s aide, and all three of them refuted the allegations.

Elaine was not charged after the issue was resolved in 2004. The couple split secretly in October 2006.

The Marriage of Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde

You must be aware that Jane Wilde was the scientist’s first wife. The closeness was extremely difficult because of the scientist’s physical state, but they overcame it and produced three children together.

In 1962, Stephen and Jane connected at a party. In the years that followed, the cosmologist was given a motor neuron disease diagnosis. Even though they were aware of the possible difficulties, the couple wed on July 14, 1965.

The scientist eventually became as dependent on care as a newborn as his condition deteriorated. Stephen Hawking’s spouse evolved into more of a caregiver. According to Leonard, she helped him with several hospital trips, clothed him, fed him, and was at his side during his near-death experiences.

According to Mlodinow, Jane misplaced her identity during the procedure and questioned who she was. After having a tracheotomy, Hawking fell in love with his caregiver, Elaine Mason.

Jonathan Hellyer Jones, the choirmaster of Jane’s neighborhood church in Cambridge, and she were having an affair at the time. In 1995, Hawking and Wilde formally dissolved their marriage.
