Additional information about actual situations Jeffrey Dahmer

Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is based on the murder, child s*x crime, and cannibalism committed by Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer of Milwaukee.

At least 17 men and boys were murdered in Wisconsin and Ohio by Jeffrey Dahmer, commonly known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster.

His method of capture consisted of contacting men and youths who were largely alone on the street and inviting them to his place for a drink. Dahmer would engage them in physical activity, then poison their drinks before murdering them.

Dahmer either dumped or consumed the victims’ remains after mutilating them. He would also photograph his victims and collect skeletal remains. Dahmer stated in a 1993 Journal Times article that it was his way of “remembering their physical charms.” He declared:

If I could not preserve them in their entirety, I could at least save their bones.

On February 17, 1992, Dahmer was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for 15 of the 16 murders he committed in Wisconsin.

In 1978, he was sentenced to a sixteenth life sentence for another crime committed in Ohio. Dahmer had multiple diagnoses, including borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic condition.

Due to his violent methods of executing his victims, Dahmer remains a topic of interest in popular culture.

After his murder by a fellow prisoner in 1994, Dahmer has been depicted in films and television series, including Dahmer (2002) starring Jeremy Renner, My Friend Dahmer (2017), and an episode of American Horror Story.
