Shaun Dooley was born on March 30, 1974, in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England, and is of British nationality. He was born under the sign of Aries. Shaun is the oldest child of Ann and Denis Dooley; he has two younger sisters, Stephanie Ann and Kimberly, who are both actresses. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Shaun revealed that he had a very strong relationship with his father and that his father’s comments once altered his entire life when he was sixteen years old and failing his tests to become a vet.

When Shaun realized he wouldn’t be able to go to veterinary school, his theatre group teacher at school suggested he become an actor, and he went to his father to ask what he felt about it.
