After 15 months of training, he was able to graduate from the National Security Forces. His first assignment was in Eastleigh, Kenya, and he was later transferred to Mpeketoni in Lamu County, and then to Dadaab in Garissa County. He also assisted in Athi River, Machakos District.

While working in Dadaab, Garissa County, he realized he had the potential to be a fantastic vocalist and guitarist.
