“And the driver kept driving.
I took ten feet of air and landed in some water.
I had one photographer who saw me in the puddle of water and assumed I was dead.
And the other photographer followed the driver on foot.”
It took her a long time and a lot of effort to recover, but Sade, who has always been a fighter, never gave up. However, the story does not end here.
Nobody knows who was behind this life-threatening incident because the driver was never apprehended. Catherine, O’Malley’s wife, was suspected of being behind all of this. This is one of those stories that will never be solved.
Aside from these allegations, the anchor is said to have never married or been in a relationship.
Sade Baderinwa’s Professional Career
Sade is back at work and giving back to society now that she has recovered. She co-founded a successful mentoring program called “Get ‘Reel’ With Your Dreams: The Inside Track” with The Walt Disney Company, New York Women in Film and Television, WABC-TV, and Lincoln Centre Institute.
This program exposes New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut high school students to films and television. Sade was abandoned by her biological family when she was very young. Her father was Nigerian and her mother was German.
Edie House, a former WBAL anchor, and her parents, James and Edith, adopted her. Sade was raised in Baltimore City, Maryland.

The program’s goal is to provide young people with career advice and planning ideas in journalism, entertainment, and live television.
Sade Baderinwa personally led a panel discussion with notable personalities such as Josh Einiger, Sandy Kenyon, and Ryan Field to provide program participants with first-hand experience advice and anecdotes.
ABC News also held workshops and Q&A sessions where participants could get tips and advice from reputable professionals on various aspects of the Live TV business, such as anchoring and camera work.
Disney not only sponsored the program but also funded a scholarship to students planning to pursue a career in media and entertainment through a video contest, with the winner receiving over $25,000. Oscar Anzora of Harry Truman High School took first place in the award, while Greg Navarro of the High School of Art and Design took second place.
