Robert had a close relationship with Diana’s first daughter, Rhonda Suzanne Ross-Kendrick, whom he formally adopted. Berry Gordy, the founder and CEO of Motown Records, fathered Rhonda, but she was born early in Diana and Robert’s marriage and reared as Robert’s child.
