Theophilus London, an American rapper who had been missing for a while, has been located safe, according to his family.
Wednesday night, London’s cousin said on Instagram that the rapper was found “safe and healthy.”
Last week, London’s family reported him missing to the Los Angeles Police Department, saying they thought he had been last spoken to in July.
The location and method of his discovery were not disclosed by the family.
Mikhail Noel, the cousin of London, posted a picture of the 35-year-old rapper and thanked readers for their assistance in locating him.
Mr. Noel stated,
“At this time the family would love prayers and privacy.
A solid support network of family and friends is “refreshing and satisfying,” he continued.
The rapper was last seen in the Los Angeles neighborhood of “Skid Row” at noon on October 15, according to a press release from the LAPD issued on December 28.
They said that he had lost all communication with his family during that month and had not been seen since.
The LAPD has been contacted by the BBC to clarify that London is safe, but no response has been received as of yet.
Rapper London hasn’t uploaded anything to Instagram since July, according to London’s page.
In a statement issued last week through the collective record company Secretly Group, his friends and family made an effort to get in touch with him and asked the public for assistance in locating him.
“Your father adores you, Theo, son. You are missed. All of your family members and friends are looking for you. Anywhere you are, please signal to us. No matter what, we’ll get you home, son “Lary Moses London, London’s father, penned the statement.
London was reared in Brooklyn, New York, after being born in Trinidad & Tobago. His tune “Humdrum Town” gave him his big break in 2009, and he later worked with Tame Impala and Kanye West.
In 2016, London received a Grammy nomination for best rap performance for his work on West’s “All Day” with Paul McCartney.
