“Pretzels And The Puppies” Season 2 Is Set To Released On Apple TV+

Pretzels And The Puppies

Season 2 of the renowned Apple TV+ kids’ cartoon series Pretzels and the Puppies is set to premiere on Friday, February 24, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. EST.

Pretzels and the Puppies follow the life and adventures of the world’s longest dachshund and his family. Mark Duplass and Nasim Pedrard, both talented voice actors, will play the lead.

The season 2 summary for Pretzels and the Puppies is as follows, according to an Apple TV+ press release:

“Pretzel is the world’s longest dachshund and the playful, supportive father of five rambunctious puppies. They encourage their puppies, along with his wife Greta, to raise their paws to solve problems and “make their bark” on their Muttgomery friends and neighbors.

The Apple Original series is executive produced by Steve Altiere (who also serves as showrunner), Caroline Fraser, Ricardo Curtis, and Wes Lui, and co-executive produced by Jennifer Contrucci. Dr. Tony Wagner, a well-known author and Senior Research Fellow at the Learning Policy Institute, serves as the series’ play, passion, and purpose expert on Apple TV+’s changemakers program.

The film was inspired by Margret Rey’s children’s picture book Pretzels and the Puppies

Steven Altiere and Kim Howitt created Pretzel and the Puppies, a television adaptation of Margret and H.A. Rey’s 1944 children’s picture book Pretzel. The duo is best known for their children’s picture book series Curious George, which they created between 1939 and 1966. Although Pretzel and Greta’s travels and learnings as a couple is chronicled in the picture book, Pretzel and the Puppies focuses on their adventures and learnings as a family, including their pups Puck, Poppy, Paxton, Pippa, and Pedro.

The animated sitcom takes place in the fictitious town of Muttgomery, with Pretzel as a stay-at-home parent and Greta as mayor. Pretzels and Puppies have the following logline, according to Apple TV+:

“Growing up takes on a whole new meaning when your father is the ‘world’s longest dachshund!” The eight episodes follow Pretzel, Greta, and the pups in their hometown of Montgomery. They are a modern and distinct family that is always looking for ways to ‘Make Their Bark,’ and make the world a better place for their four-legged friends and neighbors. Pretzel and Greta encourage their puppies to solve their own problems, frequently telling them to “Get those PAWS UP!” when they encounter a stumbling block.
