The hit-and-run case of Nirav Tolia

Tolia was charged with the fine and felony of hit and run in May 2014 after reportedly crashing his automobile on Highway 101 near Brisbane, California, and injuring a woman. Patrice Motley was identified as the woman. According to reports, he abruptly merged into a car driven by a woman on 101 in the San Francisco suburbs. The woman lost control as a result of the mishap. He collided with her automobile, injuring the woman in the neck and hand. Nirav Tolia, out of courtesy, did not attend to the lady and fled the scene.

In her answer, the woman stated that it was amusing that the CEO of a large corporation met with such an accident and did not want to stop his car to see the woman and contact 911 or remain around to exchange information. Tolia was eventually charged with hit-and-run, causing the car crash and injuring the woman. He pleaded no guilty, completed 30 days of community service, and paid a fine of $239 for the offense brought against him. His defense attorney arrived with a fully detailed history outlining what he did at the time and how he was culpable for being the community-oriented person, as well as everything else relevant to the case.
