Nicole Shanahan’s Parents : Her Difficult Upbringing Detailed

Nicole Shanahan

According to reports, Nicole Shanahan is involved in a love triangle with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, and Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google.

The Wall Street Journal reported that after his ex-wife and the billionaire had an affair, Brin filed for divorce from Shanahan and cut ties with Musk. Musk denied the claim and called it “absolute bs.

“Sergey and I are pals, and last night, we attended a party together,” he continued. In three years, Nicole and I have only met twice, and both times, there were many other people present. Nothing sentimental

To prove that he and Brin were still friends, Elon shared a recent snapshot of the two to The New York Post. Nicole was born two years after Shanahan’s mother left China for the United States. Amy and Shawn Shanahan welcomed Nicole into the world in Oakland, California, in 1989.

After relocating from Macau to Guangzhou, Shanahan’s grandfather, Chen Zhen, met her grandmother, Fai Kwok Wong. In September 1954, Chen and Fai welcomed five daughters, among them Nicole’s mother, Amy.

In her 30s, Amy came to the country and met Nicole’s father, Shawn. After Amy moved to the US two years prior, the couple welcomed Nicole. Nicole had a difficult childhood after learning that her father had bipolar schizophrenia.

After learning that her father had bipolar schizophrenia, Nicole’s life was forever altered. She was nine years old and resided with her sickly father and jobless mother. She stated to the San Francisco magazine:

“I had two unemployed parents for most of my life, so there was not only a little money, but no parental guidance, and as you would guess with a mentally ill father, there was a lot of turmoil and terror,” the author says.

Her mother was humiliated because the family relied on government aid to get by. Amy once asked Nicole and her brother to leave the store while she counted paper food stamps, Nicole said.

Nicole almost lived in a one-parent household growing up because of her father’s illness. Although things were difficult, she learned how to maximize her limited resources. She uttered:

By forcing broken objects to function at levels above their apparent limits, I learned how to compete in incredibly inventive ways. Being an entrepreneur, in particular, helps me navigate practically every day of my life with this competence at business and home.

Nicole began working as a waitress at the age of 12 and believes she would still be doing so now if it weren’t for the internet. The internet, according to Shanahan, “turned my ambition of becoming a lawyer into reality.” Added her:

From guiding me through the college application process to aiding me with schoolwork and my first legal internship application. Without the internet, I would likely still be in Oakland, carrying on with my 12-year-old activities.
