Most Streamed Song Of 2022 By Harry Styles

Harry Styles

As It Was, a reflective but gossipy pop smash by Harry Styles has been crowned the most streamed song in the UK for 2022. The song outperformed Ed Sheeran, Drake, and Taylor Swift to claim the title of the top performance of the year on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.

Additionally, it topped the charts on Spotify and Deezer around the world, while Justin Bieber’s Stay topped the Apple chart.

According to Harry Styles, the song is about “metamorphosis” as he considers loneliness, maturing, and moving on.

According to Spotify, As It, Was has been streamed 1.5 billion times overall this year.

The actor and his co-writers would have received roughly £1.5 million in royalties as a result.

While the three streaming services all agreed that Styles’ hit was fantastic, the rest of the list showed a stark difference.

Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush, which was given new life this year after appearing in Stranger Things, was the UK’s fourth-most listened-to music on Spotify while completely missing from Apple’s Top 10.

UK rap was very popular among Spotify users, as evidenced by the success of releases like Dave, Aitch, and D-Block Europe.

With a more pop-oriented audience, Apple charted songs by Adele and Elton John that weren’t on Spotify’s list.

Deezer, which has a significantly smaller market share, only included music from the year 2022 in its charts.

That left room for two other artists: Camila Cabello, whose duet with Ed Sheeran, Bam Bam, landed in third, and Nigerian rapper Rema, whose chill single Calm Down was his second-most-streamed song of the year.

Rapper from Puerto Rico Bad Bunny, whose double album Un Verano Sin Ti was nominated for a Grammy, was the most streamed artist overall on Spotify for the third year in a row (A Summer Without You).

He was unable to duplicate that success in the UK, where listeners continue to appear to be hostile to music performed in languages other than English.

For those listeners, Taylor Swift was the most-played artist, followed by Drake and Ed Sheeran in second and third place, respectively.

The song with the most Shazams this year was Afraid To Feel by LF System, a dance song that samples Chaka Khan.

“Yaaasss! That people desire to find and hear our music is an honor “the Scottish couple remarked. Big Love and appreciation to everyone who helped us in 2022.

Amazon Music and YouTube are two additional streaming services that have not yet disclosed their statistics.

In January, The Official Charts will list the top songs of the year overall based on streams, downloads, and physical sales.

The figures are released concurrently with the end-of-year recaps from streaming providers, which give subscribers a personalized deep dive into their listening habits.

The 456 million users of Spotify’s Wrapped service may now find their favorite music and podcasts as well as the songs they listen to most frequently throughout the day.

Additionally, fans will receive a “listening personality” that analyzes their listening preferences in terms of things like “exploration vs. familiarity” or “diversity vs. loyalty.”

They will also see for the first time how many times they played their favorite music.

However, some of the app’s developers are hesitant to share their findings with the public.

Tom Connaughton, MD of Spotify for the UK, said, “It’s always intriguing to watch who wants to share and who doesn’t want to share.”

The music team is the least likely to want to share their results with you if you approach them because they are worried about what it would say about them.

Apple has also updated its Replay feature, which now shows users how many songs and artists they have listened to over the year and compiles a playlist of their most-played tracks.

Additionally, it generates a list of your top 10 musicians along with the duration of time you spent listening, dancing, driving, studying, or nodding off to their music.

According to Oliver Schuster, vice president of Apple Music, “the music we listen to over the year develops like a soundtrack.” Going back in time to experience those special and memorable events once more is a lot of joy.
