Whatever transpired between Moriah Plath and Max Kallschmidt was not nice, as the first episode of Welcome to Plathville made quite evident.

This week, Max addressed the nature of the behaviors that led Moriah to end their relationship. Micah Plath heard Max admit to kissing another woman at his friend’s place.
Welcome to Plathville’s Season, 4 Episode 2 picked up just where it left off the previous week. Micah made a trip to Tampa to visit his brothers Moriah and Ethan. But when he arrived, he saw that Moriah was furious. The children took a stroll. Moriah broke down when Micah tried to get her to talk.
Then Moriah told Micah to ask Max what had happened by talking to him. The actor from Welcome to Plathville admitted during her confessional that she held up information about Max’s actions out of concern that it would make people dislike him.
She declared that she and everyone else should not feel animosity toward him. Max decided to find Micah and figure out the puzzle. As he sat down to talk with Micah, Max was inconsolable and acknowledged his error. He continued by saying,
I have a close friend who is a little older than both of us. He came his woman friend, whom I knew he loved, and we were celebrating his retirement at his home. We used to work together. I, therefore, tried to act as his wingman. So I took it a little too far. She thought it was appropriate to try to kiss me because I was merely flirting with her, which she did.
Confession
Micah was surprised by what Max said. Max continued by saying that he immediately confessed to Moriah. But he also told her that he was proud of himself for controlling the situation before it got out of hand. After hearing what Max stated, Moriah quickly severed her connection with him.
Micah admitted that nobody thought Max could have committed the things he had. In addition to being a betrayal of Moriah, he said, it was also a betrayal of their partnership.
Max went on to say that as their argument with Moriah heated up, he yelled at her and called her repulsive for her sense of style. Max started crying once more and expressed his desire to improve.
Micah spoke with Max and then dialed Moriah. She said that because she hadn’t gotten over their kissing incident, she wasn’t prepared to make amends with him.
She will give this some thought later, though, if she can just let it go. Fans of the show were shocked to learn that Moriah’s breakdown and the end of her relationship with Max were the results of a straightforward kiss.
Twitter users argued that Moriah needed to learn more and that it was selfish of her to end her relationship with Max after just one kiss.
