After gaining some experience, Martyn wanted to start his own band, and in 1992, he joined up with musicians Perry Farrell, Peter DiStefano, and Stephen Perkins to form the rock band Porno for Pyros. This band drew a lot of attention and found themselves suddenly in the spotlight. They parted up in 1998 after releasing two studio albums, ‘Porno for Pyros’ in 1993 and ‘Good God’s Urge’ in 1996.
Martyn became a well-known and important musician in the United States during his stay there, and he is still active today.
