Ying Wiens & Mark: Son, Wedding, How did they get together?

Ying and Mark Wiens met for the first time in Bangkok, Thailand.

Traveling to South Asia for a while, Mark found himself in Bangkok, where he wanted to become an English teacher. And during his time there, Mark also started blogging and began to meet other food enthusiasts. He stumbled upon Ying, therefore.

Mark’s shared,

“Without her, I could not explore and discover Thai food.”

The couple celebrated their wedding in July 2013 and it was practically a “cake to remember!” For their wedding cake, the lovebirds wanted to make the cake out of their favorite “Durian” fruit. Though you may have mixed feelings about it, Mark shared that their guest had only 50 people, all of them “joyed it.”

Three years after their marriage, Ying and Mark welcomed their first child named Micah in November 2016. Mark took it to his video on Youtube called “Say Hello to Micah Wiens!” to let his fans know about the good news. Also, the couple said they wanted their child’s name to be English, and their middle name to be Thai.

Reportedly, Micah, though still in the belly, “had not turned”—meaning the head was looking up instead of down. As a result, emergency c-section surgery was scheduled for 24 November 2016. However, Ying felt that there was something wrong with the baby on November 12 and that the surgery was completed right before the date.

Luckily, the child was born perfectly well.
