Madison Brooks’s body was discovered in the early hours of January 15, 2023, after she was killed by a car near her Baton Rouge, Louisiana, campus. Following a medical examination, it was discovered that she had been raped and was intoxicated shortly before being attacked.

Brooks, as previously stated by the sorority, donated her heart and kidneys. “She enjoyed adventures and travel, including skydiving, skiing, exploring new cities, and, most importantly, spending time with her family and friends,” according to the obituary.

“Madison’s heart was pure, her laugh infectious, and she lived every day to the fullest,” it continued. Her legacy will live on in the stars forever.” Following the death of a fantastic student, LSU President William Tate issued a statement along with another obituary.

‘Madison was a daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, classmate, and friend to many of you,’ he said. She was an incredible young woman with boundless potential, according to all accounts.

Kaivon Washington has been arrested and charged with rape

Following Madison’s death, the police department revealed that four of them were suspected of rape and murder. Washington is one of four Kaivon who have been arrested and charged with third-degree rape. He revealed the truth, claiming that he and another teen had sex with Brooks in the back seat of a car while the other two sat in the front.

Washington admitted that he and his three friends drank at the bar before leaving with Brooks, who was extremely unsteady on her feet when they left. Brooks had a blood alcohol level of.319 percent before her death, according to the report. Along with Washington, Casen Carver, Everett Lee, 28, and Desmond Carter, 17, were charged with first-degree rape.

The four people have been charged with third-degree rape, but the driver responsible for the victim’s death has yet to be found, and authorities are still looking for him. Washington’s family has been fighting for justice; her father, Scott, and mother, Ashley, have been cooperating with police and are aware of the latest developments. She was their oldest child, with two younger brothers, Brady and Aiden.
