Kerry Washington, an American actress, and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, made a rare public appearance at an event. Asomugha, an actress, and former Football athlete, attended the 2022 SAG Awards at Barker Hangar in California on February 27.
Kerry Washington attended the event wearing a yellow strapless dress by Celia Kritharioti. Tyler Ellis’ yellow velvet designer clutch completed the look. The actress maintained her appearance with smokey eyelids and a magenta pout.
The 40-year-old football player, meanwhile, sported a black tuxedo and a white button-up. Since October 2020, this is the first time the duo has been spotted together.
Kerry and Nnamdi appeared at an event in support of the 2020 presidential campaigns of Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris.

A native of Los Angeles, California, Nnamdi Asomugha was born on July 6, 1981, and is a former NFL All-Pro defensive back. The Oakland Raiders drafted him in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
Throughout his four seasons as an All-Pro, Asomugha grew into one of the league’s most excellent defensive backs, earning starting positions in 2008, 2009, and 2010 Pro Bowls.
After signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, Asomugha was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated as the top free agent available. After 11 seasons in the NFL, he signed a one-day contract with the Oakland Raiders on December 27, 2013. Before joining the NFL, he got a bachelor’s degree in business finance from Berkeley.
In 2006, he made his professional acting debut on The Game on the CW Network. Ken Shaw starred in both the first and fourth seasons of Friday Night Lights, which debuted in 2006 and 2009, respectively.
In 2008, he portrayed Walle in an episode of Season 3 of the TNT series Leverage and participated in the Scheherazade Job.
In 2012, Nnamdi starred alongside Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel, and Rosario Dawson in his debut feature-length film, Fire with Fire. His first short film, Double Negative, was written, produced, and acted in by him in 2013.
Nnamdi is the founder and chairman of the Asomugha Foundation, which his family and he co-founded. It finances two essential programs: the Asomugha College Tour for Scholars (ACTS) and the Orphans and Widows in Need program (OWIN).
In 2009, the 40-year-old actor and Washington first met on a personal basis while they were both performing on Broadway. In a 2018 interview with Marie Claire magazine, Washington stated:
“The last time I performed on stage, my life was significantly transformed. There, I met my future spouse.”
Asomugha and Washington wed in 2013 and have two children, Isabella, age six, and Caleb, age two (2). (4). People magazine reports that Kerry Washington is also the stepmother to Asomugha’s 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
