Tom Boyden, Jujimufu, Split, and Lawsuit

Jujimufu and Tom Boyden first filmed their video together in 2012, where Jujimufu taught Tom how to backflip and also gave workout advice. They quickly became close friends and began making videos together.

After more than eight years of collaboration, Jujimufu announced their split on YouTube on March 19, 2021. He stated,“I’ve decided to split up with Tom. I did not make this decision lightly or hastily. It is no longer possible to work with Tom in the future.”

He also changed the name of their YouTube channel from “Jujimufu and Tom” to “Jujimufu.”Though he did not reveal the exact reason for their breakup, a “court case information” suggested that Tom allegedly stole over $100,000 from Grip Genie to pay off gambling debts.

So Jujimufu might have wanted to avoid that drama.

Jujimufu Parents, Siblings, and Hometown

Jujimufu entered the world as “Jon Call,” the son of James and Gloria Call.

His father, James, is also a fitness enthusiast who enjoys “biking, hiking, gardening, car camping, building stuff, and mostly running marathons.” Even at the age of 68 (as of 2021), James could climb Jacob’s ladder in 30 minutes while carrying a 14.5 kg (32 lbs) hiking backpack. We now know where Jujimufu gets his stamina from.

In addition, Jujimufu’s father was featured on his YouTube channel, where he boasted that “my 68-year-old dad can lift more than you.”

Jujimufu’s father and mother used the handles “@mufudad” and “@mufumom” on Instagram. On September 8, 2020, the couple will celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary.

When it comes to his siblings, Jujimufu has a sister named Courtney Call Ratliff, who is happily married and has two children. He also has a brother named Matt Call, who works at Bentley Hyundai and lives in Huntsville, Alabama.

Similarly, Jujimufu is from Huntsville, Alabama. He did, however, reside in North Carolina before 2021.

The name “Jujimufu” was coined when the 14-year-old-him needed a username for AOL Messenger. But all of the names he desired were already taken. So he raged and spat out “Jujimufu,” which has stayed with him ever since.

Height of Jujimufu, Steroids, and Diet

Jujimufu stands 5 feet 10 inches (177 cm) tall and weighs approximately 109 kg (240 lbs). He has a massive body that is nearly impossible for regular bodybuilders to achieve in such a short period of time. As a result, he’s most likely on steroids.

You’ll understand if you compare his body from 2016 to his body now. There were numerous Reddit claims that Jujimufu was “juicing.”

Jujimufu followed a “generic bodybuilder diet” that included six meals per day. He preferred a high protein and carbohydrate intake, as well as a low fat intake.

Jujimufu’s YouTube Channel, and Books

He relied solely on his fitness career to make a living. Before 2016, he worked as a technical manager for a biotechnology group for seven years after graduating from college.

Jujimufu has been training since 1999 and began teaching himself tricking — an aesthetic blend of flips, twists, and kicks. In 2002, he even launched a website that showcased his “tricking,” where he quickly gained a large following. Later, in 2016, he competed on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent, where he performed a weighted chair split, which increased his popularity even further.

His first “tricking” training began when he was 15, in his backyard, after he saw it in an online video. It was a year after he began going to a gym across the street from his school. He remembered his parents getting him a gym membership and encouraging him.

But Jujimufu had been practicing Taekwondo for a long time before that. So he’s always been a bit of an athlete.

In March 2021, his YouTube channel was renamed “Jujimufu,” and it had 1.29 million subscribers at the time. According to “SocialBlade,” his annual earnings ranged from $7.9K to $125.7K.

Jujimufu also sold fitness programs on the internet. He had several books that drew on his years of experience. The prices for the books ranged from $25 to $70. Aside from books, his website also sold merchandise such as tank tops, hoodies, and pants.

Sam, Jujimufu’s Wife, Divorce, and Children

Jujimufu, the fitness enthusiast, chose a life partner who was also into workouts and training. His wife, Sam, was once seen on his Instagram, bench-pressing together from the bed. She lifted one side of the bar while Jujimufu lifted the other in the video, and we can attest to her strength!

Tom Boyden was also close to Jujimufu’s wife. When Tom was hospitalized in October 2020 with a severe Crohn’s flareup, Jujimufu and Sam were the ones who visited him the most and stayed by his side the longest.

Tom expressed his feelings for them by saying,

“Jon and his wife Sam are the best friends I could ever have. It’s going to be a beautiful day with a 48-hour liquid fast, laxatives, and a colonoscopy.”

Jujimufu had no children as of 2021.

In response to rumors of his divorce, Jujimufu did not appear to have divorced his wife at the time. Except for the time in October 2018 when he “left” her to join “Cirque du Soleil.” His YouTube video, titled “LEFT MY WIFE TO JOIN CIRQUE DU SOLEIL,” on the other hand, was obviously clickbait.
