For those who don’t know, Debra McCurdy, Jennette Mccurdy’s mother, was diagnosed with cancer in 1995. She received treatment for more than 15 years before dying at age 56.
In her recently published book, Jennette Mccurdy claimed that she was raised in a family that had financial difficulties. When she was just two years old, her mother received the devastating news that she had stage 4 breast cancer.
In the book, Mccurdy referred to her mother Debra as a liar and asserted that she disregarded Jennette’s desire to become an actress in favor of seeking her own Hollywood success.
She asserted that despite telling Debra that Jennette had alternate career aspirations, she was still expected to show up for auditions even when she was feeling unwell.
