Joe Beasman Hall, often known as the Joe B. Corridor, passed away early Saturday morning. He had an impact on Kentucky ball by successfully following in the footsteps of a great and creating his own.
He was the head basketball coach at the University of Kentucky from 1972 until 1985. Joe was one of only three individuals in NCAA history to play and coach starting groups (1949, 1978) and the first to do so for a comparable school.
He attended Central Missouri State University and Regis University before returning to the UK in 1965 to serve as Adolph Rupp’s associate mentor. The runner was gifted in following in the footsteps of his legendary ancestor, Adolph Rupp.

His long association with British ball began as a child scoring while listening to games on the radio, and continued as a save player through the 1948-49 season. After that, he worked as a partner and later as a head trainer before returning to his fandom.
