Ituana FC issued a statement confirming the death of the Brazilian football legend and expressing their condolences. He was reportedly promoted to the club’s professional squad in time for the 2023 season. Nonetheless, the club has stated that it will “disclose additional facts” in the near future. At this time, the cause of death has not been made public.

The Ituana Football Club, which competes in Brazil’s second division, Série B, issued a statement expressing their condolences on Jian Kayo’s death. The statement was issued in response to the news that Jian Kayo had died. It is with great sadness and shock that Ituano FC informs you of the death of sportsman Jian Kayo Gomes Soares.
The message went on to provide some background information on the 21-year-old young man’s death.
“On Saturday, the 18th, a dead body was discovered at his home where he had been staying in the evening. Jian Kayo, a 21-year-old Parana native, was the team’s goalkeeper.”
Kayo will also compete in the Paulista Championship, according to the press release.
“He joined Ituano’s Under-20 team in 2021 and played in the Paulista Championship that year, the 2022 Sao Paulo Cup, and the Paulistao that year,” the line said. “He joined Ituano’s Under-20 team in 2021.”
