He (Jerome Richard Krause) was a sports scout and executive from the United States. From 1985 until 2003, he was also the general manager of the Chicago Bulls in the NBA (National Basketball Association).

Jerry Krause also worked for the Cleveland Indians, the Oakland A’s, the Seattle Mariners, and the Chicago White Sox. At the same time, he works as a scout for the Lakers on the side. During the 1985 NBA season, he was named General Manager of the Chicago Bulls. He fired head coach Kevin Loughery and replaced him with Stan Albeck.

He won the first of two NBA Executive of the Year Awards. On April 7, 2003, He announced his retirement as the Bulls’ general manager. He then returned to baseball, this time with the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. Jerry Krause also played for the Chicago White Sox and the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017 after his death in 2003.
