The teenage gospel singer made a suggestion on social media that she was considering getting engaged to her partner.
On November 25, 2020, Carr wished her lover Taylor a “happy birthday” on Instagram. The gifted vocalist thanked Taylor for motivating and encouraging her as well as for praying for her success in the comment of the picture.
After the acknowledgment, she delivered the bombshell by using the hashtag “#Dating2Marry.” When the hashtag was decoded, it was inferred that she was seeing Jawaan with the goal of getting married and having him as her husband.
It is therefore reasonable to presume that the pair has given marriage and turning their relationship into a married one some thought.

She was discovered on Instagram for the first time by Jekalyn Carr’s boyfriend
While at home during the off-season, Jekalyn Carr’s boyfriend Jawaan was browsing Instagram when he came across the recording artist’s singing video.
The American football player was intrigued by the young girl’s talent and attractiveness and showed the film to his mother and aunt, who shared his admiration. Even Carr’s relatives said that Taylor “would be a terrific girl” for her.
Later, the 23-year-old singer was someone the Jacksonville Jaguars athlete thought about talking to. Jawaan felt compelled to DM her on Instagram and worked up the bravery to do so.
The singer of Changing Your Story is rumored to despise people that enter her DM, but as Carr noted on The Willie Moore Show, there was something unique about the muscular athlete.

On April 22, 1997, Jekalyn Carr was born in Arkansas, a southern state in the United States that borders the Mississippi River. Her parents are Allen Lindsey Carr and Jennifer Denise Carr. The gospel singer’s two siblings are Allundria Carr and Allen Lindsey Carr Jr.
When he was five years old, Carr started helping out in a neighborhood church choir and soon picked up singing. She practiced singing and soon became the principal chorister in the local church.
At the age of 13, the gospel singer was already in demand as a speaker. At the age of 15, she switched from speaking to singing with the release of her single, Greater Is Coming. A year prior, she had already received her first Stellar Award.
Undoubtedly, her church singing experiences helped her hone her God-given ability.
