Jeannette Reyes Reveals Details About Her Husband, Wedding, Age And Salary

Jeannette Reyes

The lovely relationship between American journalist Jeannette Reyes and her husband, fellow journalist Robert Burton, enchants her fans and followers. Even after long-distance dating and marriage, they have maintained their relationship since 2012.

Keeping the Distance in a Long-Distance Marriage

The two met in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the summer of 2012, and their romance officially began. Even though they had just recently started their journaling careers, they were able to relate to a topic and ended up becoming the best of friends.

They started dating in 2013 and kept a long-distance relationship going whenever their jobs sent them to separate places. For instance, the partner of the Fox 5 D.C. reporter was supportive when she moved to Washington, D.C., for reporting in 2014. Thankfully, six months later he got recruited at the same station.

The in-love pair got engaged in 2015 and wed on August 20, 2016, both in Washington, D.C., at the Carnegie Institution for Science. The former 6ABC anchor wore a white sleeveless mermaid tulle wedding gown, and her fiancé donned a black tuxedo to match the big day.

Even though it was a special occasion, the newlyweds didn’t have much time to enjoy becoming husband and wife. Just two months before their wedding, Reyes committed to a four-and-a-half-year deal with a Philadelphia station. As a result, they continued to live apart after the wedding.

On December 7, 2020, Reyes finally made her way back to Washington, D.C., where she started a new life with her husband. Her spouse works for ABC7, while she is employed by Fox 5 D.C.

Birthday and Age of a Native of Rhode Island

Rhode Island native Jeannette Alexandra Reyes was created in 1990 in Providence, United States. Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, had been relocated to the city with her parents and older siblings. The 30-year-old, whose birthday is on August 23, spent most of her childhood in a Hispanic neighborhood. She thus has fluent Spanish.

The newscaster attended Cranston High School West in Rhode Island and earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Kent State University. Reyes, who is Afro-Latina and 5’4″ tall, belongs to both the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

Her Work and Pay

Reyes started as a general assignment reporter for KATV. Then, she started working for WJLA. To work as a general assignment reporter for the ABC affiliate, she moved to Washington, D.C. in 2014.

In the spring of 2016, Ryes started her new position as a reporter for the 6ABC news team. Before leaving the network in December 2020 to become an anchor for FOX 5 Morning and Good Day D.C., she worked there for more than four years.

As of November 2022, Jeannette Reyes’s net worth was roughly $861,970.
