  • Hurts attended Channelview High School, which is situated in the Texas town of Channelview. As a senior in high school, Hurts rushed for 1,391 yards and 25 touchdowns while also throwing for 2,384 yards and 26 scores. After his high school football career, he was a four-star recruit and was regarded as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the Class of 2016.
