Is Megyn Kelly Leaving Fox News, And If So, Where Will She Go

Megyn Kelly, who hails from the United States, is a well-known journalist. The Illinois native currently hosts a talk show and podcast for Sirius XM.

Kelly made news after discussing the departures of Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon from Fox News and CNN, respectively.

The 52-year-old stated Fox News made a horrible choice by cutting ties with Tucker on Monday’s Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM. And she went on to say, “It is a great thing for Carlson.”

What are Megyn Kelly’s future plans? Is she going to leave Fox News?

Megyn Kelly will be staying put. In January of 2017, after thirteen years, she left Fox News.

The host, who was born and raised in Illinois, hosted chat shows for Fox News from 2004 to 2017. It seems that there was some confusion.

Kelly’s comments on Tucker Carlson’s leaving from the network are what have garnered the most attention, not her own departure. Megyn predicted that Tucker will start a podcast or internet show and destroy the competition while claiming that cable news had made a catastrophic mistake.

The accomplished TV host also had a popular program airing at 9 o’clock. She left CBS and joined NBC rather than have her contract renewed. She was the host of a morning chat show on the cable news network during the week and a Sunday night show that didn’t last long.

Kelly’s show has been plagued by low ratings and controversy, most notably her controversial comment about blackface in October 2018. The well-known journalist reportedly received $69 million when he left NBC in January 2019.

Kelly now has a podcast and a radio show on SiriusXM, as was previously announced. In her shift to digital media, Kelly, like O’Reilly, was helped by Red Seat Ventures.

Megyn Kelly’s Reason for Leaving Fox News

Megyn Kelly explained her departure from Fox News during an interview on The Ellen Show in September 2017.

She blamed Donald Trump and the “snake pit” of primetime programming for her decision to leave the famous cable news network.

Kelly explained that she had never been politically involved before joining the network’s primetime slot, and she credited the former U.S. president with helping her see her life choices in a new light.

The native Illinoisan shared that she had doubts about whether or not the primetime position was right for her. The host explained that the “Universe came and shone a light,” and that “it became clear to me what I wanted to do.”

The ex-Fox News employee continued by saying that when she finally made it to the network’s primetime, Bill O’Reilly warned her that it was a “snake pit.” “That’s how I felt, and I did not want to be in the snake pit; all I wanted to do was report the news,” said the host.

Kelly claimed that Trump’s incendiary remark against her only served to reinforce and clarify her decision to leave the cable news industry.

Kelly is an author in addition to her work in television. She signed a 10-figure contract with HarperCollins in February 2016 to write her memoirs. Her book, titled “Settle for More,” came out on November 15, 2016.
