Naya was raised in Los Angeles and was born there on January 12th, 1987. When she was just 8 or 9 months old, she signed up with her mother’s modeling agency. Yolanda, Naya’s mother, introduced Rivera to acting when he was a little child. Acting captured Naya’s heart, and she never looked back. In an interview with Hollywood the Write Way, she clarified:

George Rivera, Yolanda and Naya’s father, had a troubled marriage. They kept divorcing and getting back together before finally getting divorced permanently. Yolanda and Naya’s stepdad, according to the Daily Mail, went to Naya’s wedding, but George did not. But Rivera still has a good relationship with her father.

Sean has made the difficult choice to put off the wedding after giving it great contemplation. Recent rumors and allegations that have been spread by phony or false sources are simply untrue. Sean hopes that Naya can continue to work through their problems in privacy and sends her nothing but the best.

On the day that she was meant to marry Sean, Naya quickly moved on by secretly getting married to Ryan Dorsey. Three months after Sean called off their engagement, she wed Ryan.
