At the Juilliard School, where they both studied percussion, Molly and Nick Hagen became friends. When they were in college, they got together, and after they graduated, Hagen persuaded Molly to follow him to Minnesota so he could pursue farming. Because it would free up more time for her to work on her blog, Molly adored the concept.

Yeh’s passion for cooking quickly blossomed into a lucrative career that also enabled her to connect with neighbors in her new neighborhood.

Eggboy is a very special man I know. Nick is his true name, but he used to devour countless amounts of eggs every day, earning him the nickname egg boy. Since then, he has decreased that quantity, but we still enjoy eggs, particularly those produced by our chickens. I grin so broadly around him that my face aches.

In honor of their ancestors, Nick and Molly gave their daughter the name Bernadette Rosemary Yeh Hagen.

Bernadette Rosemary Yeh Hagen, the couple’s first child, was born in April 2019. The delighted parents gave their children the name of their forefathers. They took Bernt, Nick’s great-great-grandfather who immigrated from Norway to create the farm where the family now resides, as the inspiration for the name Bernadette.

Rosemary is the name the couple chose, thanks to Yeh’s grandma. Molly’s life has been significantly altered by Bernadette, especially the way she approaches cooking. To USA Today, she stated:

“Now everything is moving a little more slowly. While I’m in the kitchen, I’ll carry her in my sling, but I don’t want to prepare anything that requires a knife. I don’t want to prepare anything that requires me to approach the stove too closely. I’m making a lot more items that don’t need to be baked or chopped.
