Ingo Rademacher is an Australian-German television actor best known for his role as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on the American daytime drama General Hospital from 1996 to 2021.

Childhood

Ingo Rademacher, born April 22, 1971, is a well-known German television actor. His father’s name is Arndt Rademacher, his mother’s name is Roswitha Rademacher, and his sister’s name is Anne. His family relocated to Australia when he was ten years old. Ingo grew up on a 400-acre cattle and Angora goat ranch, where he discovered a love of water sports.

He competed in the Honolulu Lifeguard’s King’s Competition four years in a row, finishing as the world’s 80th UP racer in 2014, and he attends every event he can. Ingo Rademacher was born in Iserlohn, West Germany, and moved to Australia when he was fourteen years old with his family. He enrolled in the University of Queensland in Brisbane but dropped out after the first semester to pursue a modeling career.

Ingo Rademacher’s Professional Career

After hearing his (failed) audition tape for the soap opera The City, General Hospital producer Wendy Riche cast him as suave tycoon Jasper “Jax” Jacks, a role he played from 1996 to 2013, and again from 2016 until 2021. After a one-year absence from General Hospital, Rademacher appeared on the short-lived 2000 primetime soap opera Titans. Jax returned to General Hospital on August 23, 2012. He returned to the show in 2016 for a multi-week story arc. and had a recurring role as Robert Coughlin on Hawaii Five-0.

Rademacher’s role as Thorne Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful was revealed in September 2017. He made his first appearance on November 27, 2017. In December 2018, Rademacher announced that he would not be renewing his contract with the show and would be departing the role. On February 14, 2019, he announced his return to General Hospital. Rademacher was reported to be leaving General Hospital on November 8, 2021, after refusing to comply with the production’s vaccine demand, and the following month he announced his intention to sue ABC over the vaccine mandate.

Personal Life

Rademacher dated General Hospital co-star Rebecca Herbst in the late 1990s. She and his then-girlfriend Ehiku had their first child in 2008. Rademacher and Ehiku married in 2009 and had their second child in 2012. He and his wife announced in February 2021 that they were expecting their third child. In June 2021, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter.
