A month after Vince McMahon’s resignation, the investigation into the NDAs he signed with former workers is finished. WWE “substantially completes” its probe into the hush money issue involving former CEO Vince McMahon.

In its most recent quarterly filing with the SEC, WWE stated on Monday that the investigation into the hush money issue involving former CEO Vince McMahon had been “essentially” finished. The investigation began in April, and it was revealed in June.

The NDAs that McMahon signed with former workers to prevent public disclosure of allegations of sexual misconduct were the subject of the investigation.

Part of the document states, “The Company and its Board of Directors announced on June 17, 2022, that a special committee made up of independent board members (the Special Committee) had been established to look into allegations of wrongdoing by the Company’s former

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Vincent K. McMahon. The Special Committee’s inquiry is nearly finished “in a comic book. The company promoted Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan to co-CEOs in his place, and Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, was welcomed as the new Head of Creative and Head of Talent Relations.

McMahon had previously announced his retirement from all of his responsibilities at the company in late July. The statement went on to say, “The combined amount of these unaccounted for expenses (the “Unrecorded Expenses”) is $19.6 million.

Mr. McMahon personally made all payments underlying the Unrecorded Expenses and will continue to do so. The company has assessed that although the total amount of unrecorded expenses would be significant if recorded in full in the second quarter of 2022, the number of unrecorded expenses in each period in which they originated were not material.”
