Famous Congo-Kinshasa singer and dancer Tshala Muana was both.

Muana, also known as “Mamu National,” is generally regarded as the “Queen of Mutuashi,” a type of traditional dance music from her home Kasai area.

The songs Karibu Yangu, Tshibola, Lekela Muadi, and Malu are among Muana’s best-known compositions. The musical films La Vie est Belle and Aya of Yop City both have her songs on their soundtracks.

What was the death net worth of Tshala Muana?

Tshala Muana was reported to have a net worth of $1.5 million by All Famous Birthday. There is, however, no reputable or official report of the information.

It is hardly unexpected that Muana was a billionaire given that she was a well-known performer who performed as a singer, dancer, and actor.

The singer-songwriter concentrated on creating songs in the soukous, Congolese rumba, and mutual genres for more than three decades.

Throughout her career, Muana had contracts with Charly Records, Shanachie Records, and Celluloid Records.

She has almost 20 studio albums in her extensive music library, as well as singles including Karibu Yangu, Tshibola, Lekela Muadi, and Malu.

She also encountered some backlash, though. The National Intelligence Agency (ANR) allegedly detained Muana in November 2020 because of her song “Ingratitude.”

The song’s lyrics, which were extensively shared on social media, were about a student whose instructor lets him go to the next grade despite failing his tests.

The pupil rebels against his teacher once he leaves. Many believed that the in-issue song was President Felix Tshisekedi’s subtle critique of his mentor and predecessor, President Joseph Kabila.

The terrible news was verified by her partner, Claude Mashala, in a Facebook post. He omitted, however, to state the reason for her passing.

“The good Lord decided to take control of the national Mamu Tshala Muana early this morning. For all the pleasant times she has given us in this world, may the good God be praised. From me, goodbye Mamu,” he wrote.

Muana had spent a week at a hospital in Kinshasa. According to reports, she passed away due to respiratory issues.

The largest news outlet in the nation, 7sur7, said on Saturday that the musician’s body had been transferred to the Cinquantenaire Hospital mortuary.

There were allegations that Muana had passed away while receiving medical attention after a stroke in June 2020. But the information was untrue.

We, unfortunately, did not get lucky this time. Muana, who was 64 when she died, was born on May 13, 1958.

Unfortunately, her father was killed by the Ulelist maquis in Watsha during the Congo conflict. She was then six years old.

She and her brothers were reared alone by their mother, who died away in 2005.
