Timeline of Matt and Gina’s Relationship

In May 2021, Matt Hancock was caught on camera having a sexual encounter with Gina Coladangelo, one of his political assistants, in his Whitehall office. As a non-executive director at the Department of Health, Matt had appointed Gina, a PR specialist.

The Times claims that when Matt discovered the photographs were about to be published, he acted right away. His infidelity was ruthlessly revealed to Martha, who had been in the dark until then, as he hurried home.

Then, he allegedly woke their eight-year-old youngest child to inform him that he was going. It makes sense that Martha has declined to be publicly profiled.

Matt admitted to having the relationship and resigned as health minister. He discussed how his friendship with Gina developed into something more in a podcast from February 2022.

He said that Gina was someone he had known for “more than half of his life” and that they had collaborated on student radio at Oxford.

After spending a lot of time together, the two became close. “And we started dating. And that was something wholly beyond my control,” he said.

Matt intimated that they both intended to end their relationships with their spouses in a way that was as “painful” as possible, but he added that the leaked pictures had caused him “a huge amount of pain.”

However, he enthused about how he “easily” fell in love with Gina, praising their relationship as “joyous,” and declaring his love for her to be “deep.”

A daughter and two sons make up a family of three for the couple. The youngest was born in 2013, and one of them was adopted.

However, Matt has not published their names since he prefers to keep them anonymous.

Up until the shocking revelation that Matt had cheated on Martha for over 15 years, the marriage was doing well.

Given that Gina was then married to Oliver Tress, the wealthy founder of Oliver Bonas, and shared three children with him, it was an adulterous relationship for both of them.

At Oxford University in the late 1990s, Matt and Gina initially got to know one another when she read the news and he covered sports for Oxygen FM.

Gina and Oliver reportedly spent Christmas with the Hancocks because the two couples were so close.
