In 1955, Gilbert Gottfried was created in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 15, he began performing stand-up, and in 1980, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. Gottfried’s star power increased starting in the late 1980s as a result of a string of lesser parts in numerous films.
