Who is Garrett Hedlund? 

Garrett Hedlund is an American actor and musician best known for his appearances in the films Troy and Tron: Legacy as Patroclus and Sam Flynn, respectively. In the 2006 cinematic adaptation of Eragon, he played Murtagh. Friday Night Lights, Four Brothers, Unbroken, On the Road, Inside Llewyn Davis, Country Strong, and Pan are among his other cinematic credits. Garrett John Hedlund is the son of Kristi Anne and Robert Martin Hedlund and was born in Roseau, Minnesota. He has two elder siblings, Nathaniel and Amanda, and is of Swedish origin on his father’s side and Norwegian and German descent on his mother’s side. He began dating actress Kirsten Dunst in 2012.

Garrett Hedlund started modeling when he was a teenager. He went on to model for ‘Teen’ magazine and L.L. Bean, among other publications. In 2004, he made his acting debut in the mythological epic adventure war picture ‘Troy,’ as Patroclus. He played alongside Mark Wahlberg in the crime thriller ‘Four Brothers’ the following year. Following that, he starred in the fantasy adventure film ‘Eragon.’ In 2007, he co-starred in the comedy film “Georgia Rule” alongside Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman, and Lindsay Lohan. He also directed ‘Death Sentence,’ a vigilante action drama film largely based on the novel of the same name, that same year.
In 2010, he starred in ‘Tron: Legacy,’ a sequel to the 1982 classic Tron. ‘Country Strong,’ a musical drama about an emotionally disturbed country music artist whose career is faltering, starred Hedlund the same year. He was cast in the adventure drama film ‘On the Road’ shortly after. He starred as Johnny Five in the black comedy-drama film ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ in 2013. Between 2014 and 2017, the American actor appeared in the films ‘Lullaby,’ ‘Unbroken,’ ‘Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,’ ‘Pan,’ ‘Mojave,’ and ‘Mudbound.’ He appeared in six episodes of the TV series ‘Mosaic’ in 2018.
