Cynthia began her career in the mid-1990s, first as a small character in the TV series “New York Undercover” (1994), and then as Dianne Harris in the 1995 mystery thriller film “Café Society,” starring Frank Whaley, Peter Gallagher, and Lara Flynn Boyle. She was cast in her first major role in 1997, as Annie Dutton Banks in the daytime soap opera “Guiding Light” (1997-1998), where she received wonderful reviews and was later awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Her next triumph came with the action-drama picture “Mercy Streets” (2000), in which she co-starred with Eric Roberts and David A.R. White, and the same year she was cast in the comedy-drama series “Titus” (2000-2002), alongside Christopher Titus and Zack Ward.
