Christopher Sembroski was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, on August 28, 1979. Christopher completed junior high and high school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2007. He became an associate of science at the Air Force Community College.

Christopher joined the Air Force as a Missile and Space Systems Electronics Maintenance Journeyman after graduating. Air Transportation Journeyman was his 2007 promotion.

He was an ATS Automation Inc. technician while in the Air Force. Christopher also volunteered for Iraq. He became a Senior Building Performance Specialist at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions in Everett in 2014.

Christopher joined Inspiration4, the first civilian space voyage, in March 2021. SpaceX Dragon spaceship linked to a Falcon9 rocket will carry passengers to low Earth orbit for three days. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital needs $200 million to support and improve its facilities.

  • Christopher joined ProSpace, a non-profit that promoted private spaceflight, while in college. Christopher was a counselor at Alabama’s government-funded Space Camp, which promotes science, technology, engineering, and other subjects.
  • Jared Issacman, CEO of Shift4 Payments, started an online raffle for tickets that received over 72,000 participants and raised millions of dollars for the space expedition. By 2021, the crew will launch.
  • Christopher entered the raffle, but his college mate won the space trip. Knowing Christopher loves Earth and space, his friend offered him the ticket.
