In 2015, the channel began to draw an increasing number of viewers who wanted to learn how to work on their cars and obtain new abilities. ChrisFix had decided to pursue YouTube as a full-time job by this point. He has been uploading videos and posting on other social media daily since deciding to work full-time on YouTube.

He has worked on multiple cars as project cars, in addition to standard auto maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. These “project cars” are vehicles that have been modified to achieve the project car’s aim.

A Ford Crown Victoria is adapted to function as a police cruiser for this project. The car was designed to be an “off duty” transport police car for a police officer traveling to and from work. ChrisFix customized the lights, sirens, center console, interior parts, and radio, and cleaned up the Crown Victoria before handing it off to the police.

As he was finishing building the “Project Police Interceptor” car, he decided to begin on another project car, this time his own. He discovered a 1998 Ford Mustang GT sold at a charity auction after a fan poll and months of searching. The Mustang GT was not functioning, and in the first several weeks of the project car series, ChrisFix demonstrated how to diagnose the fuel pump problem the car was experiencing, as well as how to clean up a vehicle that had been sitting for some time. Shortly afterward, the vehicle was modified to become a drift car.
