In a video shared on Twitter, a man named Juan, who claimed to be from the United States, stated that he was with Brent when he was shot in the neck. Juan Arredondo, a documentary filmmaker, stated that he and Brent were crossing the first bridge in Irpin, where they planned to film more refugees when someone offered them a car to drive to the other bridge and cross the checkpoint. But then someone started shooting, the driver turned around, and they continued shooting incessantly. Later, he witnessed Brent getting shot in the neck and murdered. The journalists were shattered as a result of the overwhelming shooting. Juan verified Brent’s job, stating that he, too, was a filmmaker who was approaching them on the bridge when the gunshots rang out.

Andriy Nebytov, the current chief of Kyiv’s regional police department, confirmed Brent’s death and put all of his things on Facebook, including his identity card, American passport, and New York Times press pass, while confirming Brent’s death. Brent was also photographed lying down on the floor with bullet wounds on his body, according to police officials. On the other hand, Ukrainian police are attempting to highlight the reality of American journalists and their deaths to the rest of the world by sharing photographs and videos of them.

Andriy Nebytov, a police official, stated that they are killing occupants as well as international media journalists who are attempting to expose the truth about Russian troop actions in Ukraine.
